To create a Rank or Row_Number calculations, you can use the Calculation editor to write the calculation yourself or if you want a more guided experience, you can use the Visual Calculation editor where you select your fields and Tableau Prep writes the calculation for you. ![]() The following example shows a comparison of each of the above functions applied to the same data set.
